Fabricated using 1/2" hardwood

About

Inspired by a royal throne, I designed a light-weight chair using 1/2"poplar wood. The pieces were carefully cut and hand-carved. By extending the legs of the chair, I sought to transform them into high armrests.

Fabrication Process

The thin pieces of wood were assembled with nails. Lastly, I polished the chair with a deep brown stain and finished it with tung oil.
